Floods Interrupt Honda’s Thailand Production

Flood damage has impacted Honda’s manufacturing plants in Thailand – the automobile plant in Ayutthaya and the motor cycle and power products plants in Bangkok and Ladkrabang.

New vehicle production at Ayutthaya was suspended from 4 October to 8 October as parts could not be supplied. Then Honda’s plant was impacted by floodwaters on 8 October and an evacuation order was issued.

Currently all Honda Australia products ordered are being delivered as normal and the company is in constant communication with colleagues in Thailand to see if there will be any impacts on local supply.
