Kia’s excellent Rondo seven-seater (called the Carens in other markets) has been awarded the maximum five-star safety rating after the latest round of barrier testing by Euro NCAP.
Among its Euro NCAP scores, Kia’s handsome seven-seater posted 94 per-cent for ‘Adult Occupant Protection’, 81 per-cent for ‘Safety Assist’ equipment and 76 per0cent for ‘Child Occupant Protection’.
“In the last five years, Euro NCAP testing criteria has become tougher, making it harder for manufacturers’ products to be awarded top marks,” explained Kia Europe’s marketing boss Benny Oeyen. “It is a testament to Kia’s ongoing commitment to improving vehicle safety that we are able to once again achieve the highest rating with the new Carens (Rondo).”
