Subaru Forester, Volvo V40 and Opel Corsa have all been rated as five-star safety performers by their domestic regulatory authorities and this has been rubber-stamped in Australia with the local ANCAP organization also ranking them at the maximum five-star level.
Of the three, the Volvo received specific praise from the local ANCAP people for its world-first bonnet airbag system which provides protection for the heads of pedestrians who might be struck by the V40.
ANCAP also noted Subaru’s crash-preventing EyeSight system
