Volvo is in countdown mode for the August launch of the all-new XC90 SUV, today releasing these pics of the interior.
Volvo says the all-new XC90 takes inspiration from its birthplace – that would be Sweden – integrating the latest technology with clean design and fine materials.
It will also debut Volvo’s most luxurious interior to date.
There’s lots of timber, soft leather and handcrafted details headlined by the crystal glass gear-lever from Orrefors and diamond-cut controls for the engine start/stop and audio volume control.
Standing out is the tablet-like touch-screen control console and although Volvo is cant on the detail, the Swedish giant says it will be virtually button-free and will provide a new way for drivers to control their car and access a range of internet-based products.
New seat designs also feature and Volvo says the all-new XC90 will ramp-up interior space being a genuine seven-seater. The second row sees three individual seats while those in the third row will be located centrally in a raised theatre-style layout.
Underneath, the all-new XC90 will be the first Volvo to use the all-new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform.
