Fiat will use the Beijing Motor Show later this month to unveil the all-new Viaggio sedan.
Intended for the Chinese market, the all-new Viaggio is the first all-new product resulting from the partnership between Fiat and Chrysler.
Chassis architecture is the Fiat Group’s ‘CUSW” platform which was first developed for the Alfa Romeo Guilietta and is also used in the Dodge Dart.
A C-segment sedan, the all-new Fiat Viaggio was designed at the Fiat Group Style Centre in Torino, Italy and measures 4,679mm in length, 1,850mm in width and affords a wheelbase of 2,708mm. Front style highlights the latest Fiat ‘face’ while the rear shows-off modern LED tail-lights.
Power comes from two versions of Fiat’s turbocharged 1.4-litre T-Jet engine (90kW or 1123kW) driving through either a five-speed manual transmission or Fiat’s dual dry clutch automatic.
Production of the all-new Fiat Viaggio commences in July at the new GAC-Fiat plant in Changsha, Hunan province, China. Sales start in the third quarter of this year.
