In many ways concept cars are the ‘Mood Boards’ of automotive designers…’test the water’, ‘sniff the breeze’, ‘look for pushback’…apply whichever creative term you like.

Boom! Here is the Fiat FCC4.

Unveiled at the Sao Paulo Auto Show in Brazil, this beast is the work of Fiat’s Latin American Design Center.

We’re not seeing any obvious links to the Fiat 500 or indeed the Freemont with this four-door coupe.

The Fiat FCC4 measures 5,000mm in length, is 1,940mm wide and stands 1,600mm tall.

You’d certainly call it high-waisted and there are more contours on the body than a ‘Biggest Loser’ audition.

Fiat’s media info didn’t advise the FCC4’s wheel size but we’re tipping they too are a tad larger than the 500.

Cutting-edge as the Fiat FCC4 is, we not anticipating a showroom arrival any time soon.
