The first of just 10 examples of the Ferrari 599 GTO have arrived in Australia.
Powered by a 500kW V12 engine, the Ferrari 599 GTO holds the road car lap record at Ferrari’s Fiorano test track at 1 min, 24 seconds. A zero to 100km/h time of just 3.35 seconds and a top speed of 335km/h would certainly help the Ferrari 599 GTO’s on-track performance.
With second-generation carbon ceramic brakes, lots of electronic drivetrain management and VRE (Virtual Race Engineer) telemetry, the Ferrari 599 GTO is every centimeter a supercar. And it even provides reasonable luggage space.
Only 599 versions of the Ferrari 599 GTO will be built so Australia is ‘punching above its weight’ in having 10 secured for local customers.
One of the 599 GTOs heading downunder will look especially menacing – finished entirely in matt black body colour with a central matt white racing stripe.
