Toyota has rolled-out a mid-life facelift for the Corolla hatch range with plenty of extra kit and $1,000 price reductions for the Conquest and Levin ZR models.

All Corolla hatch models now have Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control (TRC) as standard.

Addition of front side airbags now means all Corolla hatches will have a minimum of four airbags as standard. Conquest and Levin ZR versions have seven airbags including driver's knee airbag and full-length curtain shield airbags. An optional enhanced safety pack can be ordered for Ascent and Levin SR which brings them up to seven airbags as well.

The rest of the upgrades include new front and rear styling (with a new bonnet and headlights), new audio systems, new interior trim and steering wheel plus new colours and alloy wheels.

All Corolla hatch audio systems now have MP3/WMA compatibility, USB jack, iPod control, a 3.5mm audio input jack and Bluetooth. Levin models gain a six-CD multi-changer with a 4.3-inch screen.

The sporty steering wheel is a 'D'-shaped with the slightly flattened lower edge allow easier entry and exit.

Corolla is the world's largest-selling car with more than 35 million sold worldwide including more than one million in Australia.
