Mazda has issued a global recall for the all-new Mazda6. In total around 15,000 vehicles are included worldwide with 1,531 in Australia.
The problem relates to the DC/DC electrical converter which is located under the front passenger seat. A quality issue means the unit may overheat and in the worst case cause a fire.
Local owners will be contacted by Mazda Australia and will be offered an alternative Mazda vehicle to drive while the Mazda dealer repairs the problem free-of-charge.
