Car enthusiasts are currently flocking to Pebble Beach, California – perfect timing for Dodge to unveil the latest Viper – the GTS ‘Launch Edition’.
Although the SRT Viper first appeared earlier this year at the New York Auto Show, Viper fans were lamenting the lack of the classic ‘blue-with-white-stripes’ colour scheme.
But Chrysler/Dodge’s performance division SRT was simply keeping their trump card until Pebble Beach – the GTS Launch Edition.
As well as the hallmark blue and white paint scheme, amongst the extras included in the Dodge Viper GTS Launch Edition are Black Laguna leather seats, Alcantara headlining and five-spoke alloy wheels.
No drivetrain changes – any why would you? That 480kW, 8.4-litre V10 engine gets the job done in anyone’s language.
Australian Chrysler-Dodge boss Clyde Campbell is in Pebble Beach with a group of local dealers – bet they’re wishing the Viper could be built in right-hand-drive.
