Citroen’s excellent 150kW/450Nm 2.2-litre turbodiesel is heading into retirement and in the quirky way we’re accustomed to from the French brand, a grand send-off has been planned.
It’s the Citroen C5 ‘Finale’ – a limited edition model loaded with extras and priced at $59,990.
In some ways it’s a shame because with zero to 100km/h in just 8,2 seconds and combined-cycle fuel consumption of 5.8l/100kms, the awesome 2.2-litre turbo-diesel will be sadly missed.
Other highlights of the Citroen C5 ‘Finale’ limited edition include handsome 19-inch ‘Adriatic’ 10-spoke alloy wheels, metallic paint, premium 350W 8-speaker audio and a reversing camera.
“While C5 will still feature the proven 2.0-litre diesel engines in the future these 30 Finale vehicles are set to become something of a collector’s item for Citroen and automotive enthusiasts,” enthused Citroen Australia sales boss Shaun Mackle.
