Citroen’s all-new DS4 small car makes its debut at the Paris Motor Show later this month and is slated for local launch in the third quarter of next year.

Citroen Australia is just about to launch the first DS model – the DS3.

The all-new DS4 continues Citroen’s current innovative and contemporary styling – the coupe-like five-door is nicely detailed with modern LED lights and chrome finishes. It looks quite sporty and runs large wheels - up to 19 inches -to enhance its muscular features.

Luxury abounds inside with a choice of five leather trim combinations (including some two-tone colours) and range-topping models feature leather trim on the dashboard and door trims. Citroen says massaging front seats will be available and the audio system is a breakthrough design offering “four ranges of polyphonic sounds”.

In Europe, the DS4 will be sold with a choice five Euro5-compliant engines – two-diesels and three petrols, driving through manual or six-speed automatic transmissions. The range-topping new 1.6-litre THP200 powerplant is good for 147kW/275Nm.

Safety items include a blind-spot monitoring system and the Citroen eTouch Assistance System which can make emergency or assistance calls using an in-built SIM card.
