A standout at the recent Los Angeles Auto Show, the new convertible version of Chevrolet’s iconic Camaro muscle-car will be imported for local sale by independent American vehicle importer, Performax International.
The Queensland-based company already sells right-hand-drive versions of the current Camaro coupe and says the first convertible could be here early next year.
Performax uses CAD-CAM technology to ensure the engineering of its right-hand-drive conversions meets the highest standards.
Currently Performax is producing one right-hand-drive vehicle every day at its new 2500 square-meter production facility which employs a workforce of 60 people.
As well as the Camaro (coupe and convertible), other Performax products include the Chevrolet Corvette, Silverado and Tahoe, the Ford Mustang, Hummer H2 and CrossRoads vans.
