Think you could design a hip, new Volkswagen model for a video game? Then Volkswagen is looking for you.
The German giant has launched a worldwide talent search called ‘Volkswagen Design Contest’. So if you have aspirations or already work in the fields of interface design, exterior and interior design, graphic design or colour and trim design, get those creative skills working.
You have a few months to hone your concept which Volkswagen says should display the character of a Volkswagen vehicle - entries close on 15 August.
The winner will be determined by Klaus Bischoff, Volkswagen’s head of design and the management team of the design studio in Wolfsburg and will be announced on 30 September.
Three winners will receive an internship with Volkswagen Design in Germany.
Volkswagen says it is interested in establishing long term cooperation with international universities and design academies. Nissan Design in La Jolla, California has paved the way in this field with its relationship with the San Diego based University of Southern California design campus.
