German super-brand BMW had reason to smile last month with the two-millionth BMW sold in Britain. The vehicle in question was 5 Series Gran Turismo sold by the BMW dealer in Wolverhampton.
BMW UK retailed its first vehicle 31 year ago – an E12 5 Series sedan on 1 January 1980.
Things have certainly changed since then. Last year BMW sold 1.46-million cars throughout the world. Of course BMW also owns the MINI and Rolls-Royce brands as well as Husqvarna Motorcycles.
