BMW’s updated X3 mid-size SUV has arrived boasting subtle exterior and interior changes, a new, more powerful 2.0-litre turbo-diesel and the introduction of BMW ConnectedDrive.
BMW says the new range is more refined and the extra standard inclusions in some model amount to $6,000 worth of extra value.
Exterior changes present a bolder look with a new interpretation of the hallmark BMW kidney grille, new circular headlights, new bumpers and extra contour lines. LED indicator lights are now housed in the exterior mirrors.
On the inside, there are four new interior trims including three timber options, three new leathers, high-gloss black panels and a stainless steel finisher for the luggage compartment.
Big news under the bonnet is the introduction of the new all-aluminium common-rail 2.0-litre turbo-diesel in xDrive 20d models. With increased boost pressure, the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel now delivers 140kW/400Nm while combined cycle fuel consumption is cut to 5.2l/100kms.
BMW X3 xDrive 20i and 20d models gain Bi-Xenon headlights, steering wheel paddle shifters for manual gear changes and xLine new design 18-inch alloy wheels.
A 360-degree surround-view system, sports automatic transmission with paddle-shifters, 12-speaker audio and X-line 19-inch alloy wheels and Nevada leather boost the xDrive 28i and 30d.
The updated lineup is:
xDrive 20i $60,900
xDrive 20d $64,400
xDrive 28i $73,400
xDrive 30d $77,400
