Good news for budget-strapped coupe buyers with BMW adding a new model to its accomplished 1 Series range priced below $50,000.
The BMW 120i Coupe is stickered at $47,400 and arrives in local BMW dealerships in May.
Power comes from BMW’s 2.0-litre, naturally-aspirated, four-cylinder petrol engine delivering 115kW/200Nm.
Inside is the usual BMW sports/luxury fitout and comprehensive safety features, making the BMW 120i Coupe a standout value-for-money proposition.
There’s 17-inch alloy wheels, sports seats trimmed in Boston leather, a sports leather steering wheel, ambient lighting, Bluetooth connectivity and a six-speaker audio system.
The BMW 120i Coupe also comes standard with cruise control, rear parking sensors and rain-sensing wipers.
BMW can thank the good-looking, and great-to-drive 1 Series range as a major contributor to its sales growth in recent years and the new sub-$50K addition will strengthen the German giant’s popularity, particularly with younger buyers.
