BMW Announces Prices for New 5-Series Wagon

BMW has announced prices for its two-model 5-Series Touring (Wagon) range will start at $92,800 for the 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel 520d.

The range-topping 3.0-litre twin-turbo six cylinder petrol model – the 535i – will be priced at $138,900 when the 5-Series Touring goes on-sale in September.

Externally, the new BMW 5-Series Touring will be available with choice of 13 exterior colours, while inside, the standard Dakota leather will be offered in six colours with the optional Exclusive Nappa leather available in two colours.

As usual, the attention-grabber is the optional M Sport package which brings 18-inch double spoke alloy wheels, lowered sports suspension and the full interior kit.

“The all-new 5- Series set a new benchmark in style, performance, efficiency and driving dynamics for executive sedans and now with the addition of the Touring models, BMW can add outstanding versatility and practicality to those attributes,” revealed BMW Group Australia managing Director, Stavros Yallouridis.

BMW says the 5-Series Touring delivers the longest wheelbase in its class (2968mm) and the 40/20/40 split-fold rear seat (which can recline for extra comfort) folds to deliver 1670 litres of luggage space (560 litres when in-place). The tailgate is electronically operated and all models come with a full cargo blind which opens in conjunction with the tailgate
