Stay with us here, it gets confusing…
BMW has shuffled its 3-Series model lineup to add extra features and value.
For customers of the four-cylinder 320i, 320d Executive and straight-six cylinder 323i, the standard specification model becomes the 320i Lifestyle, 320d Lifestyle or 323i Lifestyle. The lifestyle variant adds 17-inch alloy wheels, door-sill finishers, Chrome Line exterior package – that’s around $3,000 worth of extras for which BMW is only charging $800 (320i Lifestyle starts at $55,300).
If your preference is the 325i or 330d, the standard specification is now the 325i Exclusive or 330d Exclusive. Priced at $76,150 (325i Exclusive) and $90,150 (330d Exclusive), these 3-Series models gain 17-inch alloys, extra chrome, Bamboo Grain wood trim and a Pearl Grey steering wheel inlay.
In addition you can order an Exclusive Innovations Package ($4,100 for sedans/$4,300 for Touring models) which brings extras like Navigation System Professional, Voice Control, upgraded audios and more.
The 335i Sedan or Touring becomes the 335i M Sport and includes the M Sport Innovations Package as standard.
M3 Sedan customers can order a $9,000 Competition Package with 19-inch M alloy wheels and enhanced electronic driving aids.
It’s somewhat bewildering so the best bet is to consult your local BMW dealer.
