BMW’s new 1 Series has scored the maximum five star safety rating in the latest round of EuroNCAP barrier tests.
The BMW 1 Series scored well in all categories – front impact, side impact, passenger protection, child protection and side-impact pole crash.
But it was the important pedestrian safety where the BMW 1 Series garnered particular praise. The front bumpers and various yielding panels in the front-end were determined to be particularly impressive – in fact the front bumper scored maximum points.
BMW X1, 5 Series and the new X3 are also five star EuroNCAP rated.
