Bentley used the Geneva Motor Show to unveil its glorious Continental GTC V8 convertible.
The newcomer joins its 6.0-litre W12-powered stablemate in an imposing Continental lineup.
Power comes from a twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 engine delivering 373kW at 6000rpm and torque of 660Nm from 1700rpm. Drive is to all four wheels via a new close-ratio eight-speed automatic transmission and Bentley says the GTC V8 can sprint from zero to 100km/h in five seconds.
Cylinder de-activation enables the Bentley Continental GTC V8 to seamlessly adopt a V4 mode for fuel saving and the magnificent convertible cover 800kms on one tank of fuel.
Externally, the V8 Bentley Continental adopts a black matrix grille, ‘figure eight’ exhaust tailpipes and red Bentley ‘B’ and rides on 20-inch or 21-inch alloy wheels.
Inside is a new Eliade cloth headlining and the usual Bentley opulence.
