Again underlining the importance of the Chinese market, Porsche has chosen the Beijing Auto Show in a couple of weeks to debut the new, high-performance Cayenne GTS which goes on-sale in Europe in July.
Powered by an up-spec version of the Cayenne S 4.8-litre V8 engine, the GTS model scores 309kW of power and drives through the eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission. Zero to 100km/h is achieved in just 5.7 seconds.
Underneath, stiffer chassis settings and standard Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) sees the Cayenne GTS sit 24mm lower than the ‘S’ model.
Exterior style is based on the Cayenne turbo while inside there are sport s seat in Alcantera leather and a SportDesign steering wheel with paddle shifters.
Porsche Cars Australia has not revealed any local plans for the Cayenne GTS.
