Audi has expanded its range of SUVs with the launch of the all-new, compact Q3.
Nicely styled in the current Audi way, the Audi Q3 is on-sale, priced from $44,800. The engine choice is all 2.0-litre – two petrol and two diesels with outputs ranging from 103kW to $56,000.
The entry-level 2.0 TDI manual is front-wheel-drive and all the rest use Audi’s excellent Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
Diversity is the key (as usual with Audi). The range-topping 155kW model zips from zero to 100km/h in 8.2 seconds (faster than Volkswagen’s similar Tiguan) while the entry-level 103kW two-wheel-drive version delivers fuel economy of 5.2l/100kms and a range of more than 1,000kms from its 64-llitre fuel tank.
Inside is the expected Audi top-shelf inclusions including Bluetooth audio, cruise control, rear parking system, dual-zone climate control air and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
The full range is:
2.0 TDI manual 103kW $44,800
2.0 TDI Quattro Stronic 130kW $54,500
2.0 TFSI Quattro manual 125kW $47,000
2.0 TFSI Quattro Stronic 125kW $48,950
2.0 TFSI Quattro manual 155kW $56,000
