“Boo-hoo” – theAudi TT RS Plus is not yet a confirmed starter for ‘Downunder’…Audi Australia says the newcomer is under evaluation.
So Audi fans, send your cards, letters and emails to Audi Australia because this latest TT – available in both Coupe and Roadster configurations - is a pearler.
Under the bonnet is Audi’s 2.5-litre TFSI five-cylinder with 265kW/465Nm, driving all four wheels via a six-speed manual or seven-seed S tronic transmission and Audi’s Quattro system. Weight is the key to performance and with the coupe version tipping the scales at just 1,450kgs, its power-to-weight-ratio is 5.5kgs per Kw.
Zero to 100km/h is as fast as 4.1 seconds (manual Coupe) and fuel consumption gets as low as 8.5l/100kms (Coupe S tronic).
The Audi TT RS Plus looks brilliant with black 19-inch alloy wheels featuring red rim flanges, a large, fixed rear wing, diamond mesh front grille and carbon fibre exterior mirrors. Adaptive dampers keep things planted.
