Also set for a Detroit reveal is a concept two-door crossover from Audi.
The newcomer is claimed to embrace the ‘shooting brake’ body style (a-la Mercedes-Benz and Jaguar) and also points to future Audi sports car models.
Measuring 4.2-metres in length the as-yet un-named Audi coupe crossover rides on 19-inch alloy wheels and adopts precise, sculptured lines, short overhangs, low roof line and a muscly C-pillar.
But Audi has given its Detroit star a high-riding suspension and sturdy aluminium underbody guard to enhance its ‘allroad’ stature.
At the front, the honeycomb-structure Singleframe grille is reminiscent of the Sport Quattro concept from the Frankfurt Motor Show and side air inlets come from Audi’s e-tron models.
