Audi is claiming a new world record for 2.0-litre, four-cylinder engines with the 309kW450Nm 2.0TFSI engine powering this stunning TT Quattro concept car which was revealed overnight at the Geneva Motor Show.

Changes to the EA888 engine included special aluminium pistons with integrated cooling channels and an ultra-high strength forged steel crankshaft. In addition there’s a new alloy crankcase and a new turbocharger.
Combined with a kerb weight of just 1,344kgs, the remarkable 2.0-litre powerplant allows the Audi TT Quattro concept car can cover zero to 100km/h in the supercar time of only 3.7 seconds.
Underneath is new MacPherson strut front/four-link rear suspension with lots of aluminium componentry and unique ESP which can be switched off entirely.
Changes too for the bodyshell which also uses lots of aluminium (doors, bonnet and bootlid) plus special thin-walled steel. There’s flared wheelarches in carbon fibre which is also used for the front splitter and a large fixed rear wing.
