Audi has released more images of its A2 Concept ahead of its Frankfurt Motor Show premiere.
The all-electric Audi A2measures just 3.8-metres in length, 1.7-metres in width and is only 1.5-metres high. If you think the roof looks unusual, you’re correct – it’s made from darkened glass.
Thanks to the Audi A2’s electric drive system, the interior floor is completely flat, so despite the compact dimensions, it affords plenty of interior space for four people. The two individual rear seats even have room between them to store a small bicycle (complete with its own racking system).
Lighting is innovative inside and out – the headlights are matrix beam LEDs and the rear fog light uses laser diodes to emit both a solid beam of light and reflect a red warning triangle on the road.
Inside, the interior lights are two arches and the driver manages most vehicle functions via touch control surfaces on the steering wheel.
Audi says the A2 Concept has been designed as a zero-emissions premium four-seat city car.
