Opel’s new Astra GTC Sport is slated for local debut next month priced from $36,990.
The GTC Sport debuts Opel’s new 1.6-litre SIDI turbocharged four-cylinder engine and six-speed automatic transmission (that $36,990 sticker is just $2,000 more than the GTC Sport manual).
Opel’s all-new direct injection engine delivers 125kW of power and peak torque of 280Nm from 1650rpm. Combined cycle fuel consumption is 6.8l/100kms.
The six-speed auto offers Active Select manual shifting. Suspension is Opel’s sport set-up with HiPerStrut front. Inside are heated front seats with Mondial leather trim.
