Reflecting the stature of one of its most important global markets, Aston Martin has chosen the Concours d’ Elegance event in Kuwait on 15-18 February to unveil in production form the new V12 Zagato.
Significant because it reunites the famed Aston Martin-Zagato collaboration (now 50 years strong), the Aston Martin V12 Zagato was shown in prototype form in May last year at the Villa D’Este Concours on Lake Como, Italy – where it won the Design Award for concepts and prototypes.
Since then, Aston Martin has developed the V12 Zagato in motorsport events, including the Nurburgring 24-hours where both team vehicles finished the grueling event – you can’t beat a 100 per cent record!
Aston Martin says the V12 Zagato will be built in limited numbers (150 will be the cap) and customer deliveries will start late this year.
Featuring a hand-crafted aluminium-carbon fibre body, the beautiful V12 Zagato is based on the Aston Martin V12 Vantage model. The hand-crafted assembly takes place at Aston Martin’s historic HQ in Gaydon, England.
Under the bonnet, the magnificent 6.0-litre V12 engine delivers a scintillating 380kW/570Nm.
