Available in V8 & V12 guises, these limited-run cars are F1-driver approved.
Like newlyweds, Aston Martin & Red Bull Racing have been overjoyed with their union since announcing their cooperation to produce the AM-RB 001 hypercar. And like all great weddings, there has to be some memorabilia to commemorate the occasion, so Aston Martin has released the Vantage Red Bull Racing Editions.
Finished in Mariana Blue (Red Bull Racing’s signature colour) as standard, the special-edition Vantages (available with Aston Martin’s V8 & V12 powerplants) are adorned with red detailing on the side vents and grille, while yellow brake callipers hide behind large dark alloys. If the glossy dark blue isn’t your thing, you can have it in a satin finish, or opt for Tungsten Silver instead. These limited editions feature a carbon-fibre splitter, diffuser, grille, and side strakes as standard to further emphasise the racing link.
In the cabin, there’s ‘Red Bull Racing’ embroidery on the headrests, more carbon fibre dotted around the place, diamond-quilted trim, and an Alcantara-covered steering wheel with a red-stripe at the dead-centre position. For the ultimate touch, customers can opt to have the door sills and final inspection plaques signed by either of Red Bull Racing’s star Formula 1 drivers, Max Verstappen and Daniel Ricciardo.
On these special editions, Aston Martin President Andy Palmer said, “Motorsport is and will always be a key part of Aston Martin’s DNA and both the V8 and V12 Vantage S Red Bull Racing Editions bring that ethos straight to our customers. With the 2017 FIA Formula 1 championship set to begin soon, I hope that the purchase of these models will bring the racing season that little bit closer for those lucky few customers who can’t wait for it to begin.”
The lucky few who get to bring these cars home should expect them sometime in the second quarter of this year. While a retail price has not been specified, we expect these Red Bull Racing Editions to command a decent premium above the $231,000 & $389,300 asking price for the V8 & V12 Vantages respectively.
