Aston Martin Releases First Official Zagato V12 Pics

Gestation of the Aston Martin V12 Zagato has been lengthy and very public…and now come the first official pics of the glorious new sports supercar in production form.

Of course Aston Martin V12 Zagato prototypes have already tasted considerable success – at the Villa d’Este Concours in Italy and the Le Mans 24-hour race in France.

But of late, the hard yards have been put in by Aston Martin’s engineering and production teams as they prepare for the V12 Zagato’s production car debut at next month’s Geneva Motor Show.

Supercars aren’t supercars without monumental details and here’s just a few for the Aston Martin V12 Zagato…

Each individual car takes 2,000 man-hours to complete, with more than 100 hours required for painting alone; Seven Bridge of Weir hides in semi aniline finish are used to trim each interior (with hand-stitched quilting; front splitter, A-pillars, rear light pods, diffuser, wing mirror cases and rear wing all display carbon fibre weaves; the bonnet, double-bubble roof and doors are hand-crafted aluminium, while the front and rea fenders, door sills and bootlid surround are made from carbon-fibre.

Aston Martin says the production run for the V12 Zagato will be strictly capped at 150 vehicles.
