Without a doubt, the Valkyrie is an Aston Martin like no other. Indeed, it’s a car like no other, with a positively sci-fi body formed by a medley of Red Bull F1-derived aerodynamic tech and incredible machining, and a Cosworth V12 capable of revving to the stratosphere for what will likely be the most powerful modern day street-legal naturally aspirated engine ever produced.
For the lucky few to become owners of the 150 due to be produced, the anticipation of their new hypercar must be near all-consuming. To quell their nervous ticks as well as the hungry curiosity of the common enthusiast, Aston Martin have also recently announced the car’s various option kits and customisations available through the Gaydon automaker’s Q division.
Most prominent in the reveal is the AMR Track Performance Pack which, as expected, adds more performance-oriented bits onto an already very circuit-friendly machine. It adds a new front-end aero to increase downforce at the nose, a second set of all other body panels (for easier replacement?), lightweight titanium brakes, new track-specific suspension, and a set of ultralight magnesium wheels and a carbon fibre aero-disk set.
Additionally, choosing this option affords the owner a personalised race suit and matching pit garage accessories, though we struggle to imagine what exactly those are. Back to the car itself, three AMR livery designs will be offered to differentiate it over the standard version, but this too can be further customised to a lesser degree.
The interior is also fair game to tastes of every owner despite being a precision engineered and designed product, though the scope of these alterations do not effect performance or usability. For example, a wide selection of Alcatara patterns and colours are offered along with a number of different surface finishes for the controls and touch points, including 24-carat Gold leaf.
Aston Martin’s Executive Vice President & Chief Creative Officer Marek Reichman said, “This is simply the best car in the world if you want something bespoke and we are really pushing the boundaries to match the dreams of our customers."
"Every single element of this hypercar, including its performance, can be personalised. The materials are very much about science, the art of creativity and the ability to create a unique solution that doesn’t detract from this exceptional car’s performance capability”.
