Not to be outdone by its corporate cousin in Shnaghai, Kia has rolled-out the’Horki’ concept sedan.
That’s not the model name, rather ‘Horki’ is a new local Chinese sub-brand for Kia and its joint-venture partner Dongfeng Yueda Kia (DYK). Horki means “harmony and driving” we’re told.
Kia says the new sub-brand will better meet the specific demands of the Chinese market, pursuing practical and economic vehicles while the Kia product is aligned with passion, sportiness and style. Included in future Horki vehicles is an alternate fuel vehicle although details have not been released.
This first Horki concept vehicle rides on the platform of the all-new Kia Cerato which has just been launched in Australia.
