BMW-specialist aftermarket company Alpina is boasting its new D3 Bi-Turbo is the world’s fastest diesel-powered production car with a top speed of 279km/h and acceleration from zero to 100km/h in 4.6 seconds.
Based on the latest BMW 3-Series sedan and wagon, the Alpina mods lift output of the six-cylinder bi-turbo engine to 261kW/700Nm.
On the outside are some aero enhancements which were tweaked in BMW’s own wind tunnel. The BMW Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo sits on adaptive M Sport suspension and rides on 19-inch Alpina alloy wheels.
Inside there are plenty of Alpina sports/luxury additions including hand-stitched full leather and a range of hand-finished woods. You can also specify options from the BMW Individual line.
