Volkswagen will replace its Jetta compact sedan range with an all-new model previewed in Melbourne.
Jetta gets a bold new look and increased dimensions – at 4.74-metres in length the all-new Volkswagen Jetta is 19cms longer than the current version.
The German designers have brought to the all-new Jetta the latest Volkswagen styling ‘DNA’ – a much more precise and athletic look than any previous Jetta.
Inside, Volkswagen’s hallmark quality and precision continues. Pleasingly, the extra wheelbase length of the all-new model has delivered exterior interior space as this was really the only where you could criticise the current Volkswagen Jetta.
Power will come from Volkswagen’s direct injection petrol and turbo-diesel engines driving through manual and DSG automatics.
As usual Volkswagen has fitted the all-new Volkswagen Jetta with the full raft of safety technology including a new innovation – Crash Impact Sound Sensor. This new technology detects the intensity of a crash and instructs the airbags on how to deploy appropriately.
Volkswagen will reveal full local specifications and prices closer to launch.
