Toyota has confirmed its all-new Yaris compact car will debut at the Australian International Motor Show (Melbourne) next month.

Expect the completely new Yaris range to hit Australian Toyota dealerships in Spring.

Toyota says the all-new Yaris has been designed with an eye on increased sales in style-conscious Europe and it looks like a big step-up from the current model.

Space is up too. The all-new Toyota Yaris features a roofline 15mm lower than the current version but 100mm extra length and a 50mm longer wheelbase delivers more room inside.

Innovations include a single windscreen wiper with in-built washer jets and UV-reducing glass for the front windows.

Despite an onslaught of outstanding compacts from rival brands, local Toyota Yaris sales grew by more than 10 per cent last year to 21,452.

Toyota being Toyota you can expect the arrival of the all-new Yaris in the last quarter of this year to be accompanied by major advertising and promotions.

For a preview of the all-new Toyota Yaris plan to be at the Australian International Motor Show at Melbourne’s Convention and Exhibition Centre 1 – 10 July.
