We all know the Skoda story: Volkswagen’s Czech-Republic brand which is enjoying enormous sales growth in Europe as savvy buyers recognize the great value everywhere in the product range.

Boom! Here’s the all-new Skoda Fabia (a relative of the Volkswagen Polo) with more features, improved engines, hatchback or wagon models and an entry price of just $15,990 ‘driveway’. In fact every one of the latest Skoda Fabias carries a ‘driveway’ price - reinforcing the tremendous value on offer here.

Power comes from the turbocharged 1.2-litre ‘66TSI’ petrol engine with 66kW/160Nm driving the front wheels via a five-speed manual transmission.

Or we have the 81TSI with 81kW/175Nm and driving the front wheels via the seven-speed twin-clutch DSG automatic transmission.

On the styling front, the all-new Skoda Fabia looks much better than its predecessor and the sharp lines do show the relationship to the latest Volkswagen Polo.

Inside too, Skoda Fabia really steps-up with, for example the latest 6.5-inch infotainment screen with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and satellite navigation.

At www.carshowroom.com.au we’re huge fans of the Skoda Fabia wagon (we reckon compact wagons make a lot of sense for urban-resident families) and the new model excels with a massive 505-litre of cargo space with the rear seat in-place or 1370-litres when folded.

Launched so far, the all-new Skoda Fabia range comprises:

66TSI hatch  $15,990 (driveaway)
81TSI hatch  $20,290 (driveaway)
Wagon   adds $1,150
