The soft-top convertible version of the latest Mini has arrived in Europe and, like its predecessor, looks perky and fun.
Among the highlights are a new mechanism for the folding roof (fully electric and quieter), extra interior space and 25 per-cent more cargo capacity.
There’s a new ‘Caribbean Aqua’ metallic paint and, on the ‘Mini Yours’ customization list, is a version of the soft-top roof woven with the ‘Jack’ logo (Mini mistakenly calls it the ‘Union Jack’ but of course the ‘Union’ is only added when the flag of Great Britain is flown on a ship).
In Europe the all-new Mini Convertible is launching with a choice of three engines: 100kW three-cylinder petrol, 141kW four-cylinder petrol (for the Cooper S model) or the 85kW, three-cylinder turbo-diesel.
Expect the all-new Mini Convertible in Australia next year.
