New model production start-ups don’t usually make news but Mazda’s all-new Mazda6 wagon broke cover for the first time in Japan at a ceremony in the Hofu plant in Japan.
The first all-new Mazda6 to be produced was a European specification wagon with the Skyactive-G 2.0-litre petrol engine. Mazda’s third-generation Mazda6 will be the first Mazda to feature Mazda’s i-LOOP brake energy regeneration system.
Looks are impressive with the all-new Mazda6 in wagon form showing-off a more athletic look than the current model and a stylishly flowing glasshouse.
Mazda will launch the newcomer at the Paris Motor Show and Australian launch is scheduled for early next year.
Kicking-off production of the all-new Mazda6 came 10 years since the debut of Mazda’s first mid-sizer and 30 years since the start of the Hofu plant in Japan’s Nishinoura District.
