Hyudnai's all-new Elantra has been wheeled-out at home in Korea.
Styling is clearly an evolution but don’t be fooled – the sixth generation Hyundai Elantra is longer and wider than the current model and notice the new front-end with fashionable slim-line headlights and a large single-frame hexagonal grille.
Inside the all-new Hyundai Sonata goes up-scale with styling cues from the Genesis premium sedan and more soft-touch materials.
Technology steps-up too with the addition of autonomous emergency braking, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, high-beam assist, land change assist, a premium Harman audio system and ‘Integrated Memory Seat’.
Underneath revised suspension geometry and a re-do of the motor driven power steering promise improved ride and handling.
In Korea, Hyundai will offer the all-new Elantra with a choice of 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre petrol engines or a 1.6-litre turbo-diesel (the latter with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission).
Full Australian details will be revealed closer to launch.
