Ferrari’s replacement for the iconic 458 Italia, the gorgeously styled 488 GTB, is now available for order from local dealerships.
Prices start at $469,888 – surprisingly less than the 458 Italia - but there is a global waiting list.
As we know, the 488 GTB shares its 3.9-litre twin turbocharged V8 engine with the Ferrari California T – but power is up to 492kW/760Nm.
Aided by a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle-shifters for manual changes, the Ferrari 488 GTB covers zero to 100km/h in 3.0 seconds.
Underneath is the same braking technology as the LaFerrari plus adaptive dampers and stability and traction control systems with much technical input from the Ferrari F1 team.
Styling is a little reminiscent of the 458 Italia.
