It’s received glowing praise in Europe (even Jeremy Clarkson likes it) and now Volvo’s all-new XC90 seven-seat luxury SUV has arrived in Australia.
In Australia, Volvo has launched the gorgeously-styled XC90 in three model grades – entry-level ‘momentum’, mid-grade ‘Inscription’ and the sporty range-topper is of course the R-Design.
Currently there are two engine choices – the new 165kW/470Nm D5 four-cylinder diesel and the 236kW/400Nm T6 four-cylinder petrol.
But coming early next year is the stunning T8 Twin Engine which is a petrol-electric hybrid delivering 298kW/640Nm.
The T8 will be the XC90’s range-topper, exclusively offered in R-Design guise.
All engines drive all four wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, the all-new Volvo XC90 is a stunner with all models featuring a graphical instrument cluster (9.3-inch in Momentum models or 12.3-inch in Inscription and R-Design) and lots of technology including Active High Beam, Lane Departure Warning, four-zone climate-control air-conditioning, reversing camera, satellite navigation, Road Sign Information and leather trim.
As well as the 12.3-inch full graphical instrument cluster, Inscription models add extras such as 20-inch alloy wheels, Blind Spot Information System with Cross Traffic Alert, Nappa leather and styling enhancements inside and out.
The R-Design goes sporty with unique 20-inch wheels, front grille, perforated Nappa leather seats, front spoiler and more.
