Coinciding with what is perhaps the most anticipated new car launch of 2012, Toyota has revealed a dealer-fit aero-kit for its game-changing 86 sports car.
Priced at $3,000, the aero kit is exclusive to the range-topping Toyota 86 GTS model (manual and automatic).
Toyota says the kit brings extra downforce (no surprise with that massive rear wing!) with sacrificing the 86’s fuel-efficient 0.27 drag coefficient.
The package comprises that large rear wing, plus a front bumper skirt, side skirts and rear bumper skirt. At the front, the bumper skirt has dual 12-degree canards for handling stability and vertical fins to control air entering the front grille.
And that large rear spoiler (centre section painted gloss black) features horizontal ‘winglets’ on the uprights.
