The Abarth 695 Biposto, the road-going version of the astonishing 695 Assetto Corse race car which triumphed at the Bathrust 12-Hour race, is now on-sale at Australian Fiat dealerships priced at $65,000.
The pocket-rocket race car for the road boasts massive equipment levels and is the first road car to feature the race-style H-pattern gearbox with dog rings for speedy clutch-free gear changes.
Power comes from a 140kW/250Nm version of the turbocharged 1.4-litre T-Jet engine with a Akrapovic exhaust system.
Tipping the scales at just 997kgs, the Abarth 695 Biposto zips through zero to 100km/h in just 5.9 seconds.
Underneath are adjustable shock absorbers from Extreme Shox (suppliers to F1, Le mans and WTCC teams), Brembo brakes and lightweight 18-inch OZ Racing alloy wheels.
Inside is the sportiness really ramps-up with fixed front windows running polycarbonate sliding panels, Abarth Cotsa by Sabelt sports seats complete with 4-point harnesses, a data logger and a rear titanium roll bar by Poggipolini.
