Mercedes-Benz has confirmed the racy A45 AMG compact hatchback will launch in September, priced at $74,900.
A contender for the ‘World’s Best’ high-performance compact, the AMG-developed A-class delivers a massive 265kW/450Nm from its turbocharged 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine. Driving through the AMG –developed seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, the A45 AMG zips from zero to 100km/h in just 4.6 seconds.
As expected, the AMG enhancements deliver a stunning look – the A45 AMG riding on 19-inch alloy wheels and featuring wheelarch flares and unique treatments for the front and rear ends.
Inside is the usual AMG-Mercedes kit which includes Harmon Kardon audio, a panoramic glass sunroof, leather seats, satellite navigation, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning and blind-spot monitoring.
