MINI has confirmed a $56,900 price tag of the limited edition MINI John Cooper Works GP model which arrives in Australia early next year.
But you need to move fast as the total Australian allocation of the JCW GP, the fastest-ever MINI, is just 30 vehicles and demand is high.
As reported by Car Showroom last week the outrageously racy MINI John Cooper Works GP (JCW GP) is powered by a pepped-up version of the turbocharged 1.6-litre powerplant with 160kW on-tap.
A lightweight two-seater with race-bred engineering throughout, including adjustable suspension and a special ‘GP’ mode for the traction control, the MINI JCW GP lapped Germany’s Nurburgring circuit in 8:23 minutes.
On the outside is a massive aero kit with a carbon-fibre rear wing to minimize rear-end lift while inside the magnificent heather, leather-trimmed Recaro seats are race units with a special knee-brace roll.
The MINI JCW GP comes in just one specification and one colour – ‘Thunder Grey metallic’.
File this one under ‘C’ for ‘collector’s item’ and sprint to your nearest MINI dealer to get your name on the order list.
