Good news for Kia in the latest round of ANCAP barrier testing with the all-new Cerato scoring the maximum 5-star rating.
The result for Cerato means all Kia small, medium and SUV ranges are now ranked at 5-Stars.
The news wasn’t so good for Honda with the latest Accord surprisingly only awarded 4-Stars.
According to ANCAP, the Honda Accord wasn’t up to the mark in the offset frontal crash with its performance indicating possible injuries to the driver’s lower legs. While the Accord performed well in the side impact and pedestrian tests, it’s shortfall in frontal offset meant it didn’t accumulate enough points overall to achieve the maximum 5-Star rating.
However ANCAP did praise Honda for its SAT (safety assist technologies).
