Good news for Mazda buyers from the latest round of local ANCAP barrier tests with both the CX-3 and Mazda2 scoring the maximum five-star rating.
Mazda’s hip compact the Mazda2 (sedan and hatchback) scored 36.35 out of a possible 37 points including top marks for the pole test, whiplash protection and pedestrian protection.
The all-new Mazda CX-3 compact SUV scored 36.44 out of 37 including 16 out of 16 for the side impact test, two out of two for the pole test and the top rating for both whiplash and pedestrian protection.
ANCAP praised both Mazda models for their extensive range of safety equipment including dual front, side and head airbags.
