The upgraded Toyota HiLux has been awarded the maximum five-star safety rating by ANCAP.
According to the barrier testing organization, the rating applies to all 4x4 single cab and extra cab Toyota HiLux models built after August 2013.
It is expected 4x4 double cab versions of the Toyota HiLux will also achieve the five-star rating.
