The Lake Illawarra Local Area Command of the New South Wales Police Force has just received a new, slick, and rather quick addition to their garage, a new Audi S7 Sportback, which they have been presented with by Audi Australia.
The car, which has a list price of $180,716, will be with the New South Wales Police Force on a 12-month loan following the successful engagement of an Audi RS4 Avant, replacing it to continue work in a variety of community and youth engagement programs.

Commander of Lake Illawarra LAC, Superintendent Zoran Dzevlan, said: “The Audi S7 Sportback provides an exciting and visible platform for our community and youth engagement activities. Our use of the S7 Sportback will encourage people of all ages to introduce themselves to local police, using the car itself to help start up a conversation.”
The custom livery that the S7 Sportback wears was chosen based on an interpretational design from almost 800 Audi Australia Facebook fans back in 2015, fitting as the car will be used primarily as an outreach tool to the community.
The car itself features a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine under the bonnet which produces 331kW and 550Nm that’s sent through an Audi S Tronic dual-clutch transmission to all four wheels and is capable of sprinting to 100km/h in just 4.6 seconds.
Under low demand situations, its half of its eight cylinders can be deactivated to conserve fuel, effectively operating as a 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbocharged motor.
